Detective partners Allen Gamble and Terry Hoitz are “the other guys,” the guys who slave away at their desks doing the humble police paper work without the crime-fighting media glory. But those are the guys whose work is necessary for the heroes to do their work. Well, the Other Guys want glory, too. Detectives Gamble and Hoitz set out to solve a big fraud, embezzlement and money laundering case in New York City. This is the stupidest movie I’ve seen since Will Ferrell and Jon Heder’s movie Blades of Glory, and I loved it. I laughed myself silly. In my imagination I put it next to Steve Oedekerk’s Kung Pow - Enter the Fist
Some of my favorite lines:
“If we want hear you talk I will shove my arm up your ass and work your mouth like a puppet.”
“The sound of your piss hitting the urinal ... that sounds feminine.”
“Even if you weren’t in my food chain I would go out of my way to attack you.”
“Live for excess. It’s the American way.”
“I’m a peacock. You gotta let me fly.”
“There’s nothing about you that makes a man a man. You got no gun, no car, no wife, and now you got no partner.”
